Dec. 30, 2021—After months of uncertainty following the pandemic-induced economic recession, several market sectors are rebounding substantially and are even beginning to expand.

According to a report from Globe St using data from a Stan Johnson Con. Retail Tenant Expansion Report, " the automotive and convenience store sectors are reporting strong levels of planned expansion."

The report specifically mentions Jiffy Lube as a brand in expansion mode and catching the attention of investors, citing a recent acquisition of eight Jiffy Lube shops by Machine Investment Group as an example of sustainable expansion.

"With months of mandated closures, social distancing restrictions and tempered consumer demand, the retail market certainly took a hit during the pandemic," the report said. "But not all retailers are exiting the pandemic for the worse. In fact, many are in expansion mode or already experiencing a swift rebound from the pandemic."
