March 26, 2021—Firestone is launching a van-based service that includes tire installation, brake work and oil changes.
Cnet Roadshow reports that the service, called Firestone Direct, requires the customer to park the car on a flat surface for the work. Techs will use vacuum oil removal via the dipstick line, according to Cnet. The vans are also outfitted with digital tire balancing systems.
The service is limited to certain markets, and it's unclear how widespread the offering is.
