Nissan Recalls 1.4M Vehicles Globally

July 17, 2023
Multiple issues are to blame for the recall efforts, which impact vehicles in the United States, Japan and Europe.

Nissan has announced a recall for approximately 1.38 million vehicles on a global scale, according to Jalopnik

Impacted vehicles include the Nissan Note, Kicks, Leaf and Serena. This recall geographically covers the United States, Japan and Europe. Components of this recall include sudden acceleration when cruise control is off and a short circuit that impacts motors. The only vehicles sold in the United States in this recall are the Kicks and the Leaf. It's not yet certain how many United States vehicles are affected.

The 2023 Nissan Leafs are impacted by two recalls right now: Brake line corrosion and incorrect information about the defroster in the owner's manual. There are 6,400 Note Acuras being recalled in Japan for a headlight issue.
