March 6, 2023–The International Franchise Association (IFA) has chosen FullSpeed Automotive franchisees as the winners of their Franchisee of the Year Award, according to a press release: Grease Monkey franchisees Greg and Becky Parsons, and SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service franchisees Ken and Susan Giusti.
The award was presented to the Parsons and Giustis on March 1 at the 63rd IFA Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. Franchisees are nominated by their parent companies and chosen based on factors such as “service to their communities,” having a strong workforce with opportunity for career growth, and the support shown to other franchisees.
Greg and Becky Parsons opened their first Grease Monkey location in 2017 in Cypress, Texas, and have seen “double-digit increases each year” since then. At the Grease Monkey 2019 Annual Convention, Mr. Parson was chosen to join a panel of four other franchisees to speak on the “owner expert panel.”
Ken and Susan Giusti have been franchisees of SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service for 30 years. Their first location was opened in 1993 in Fremont, California, with a second location in Vallejo, California opening in 2000. Mr. Giusti has served as a member of SpeeDee’s National Franchisee Advisory Council, recently acting as president and chairperson.
