The Automotive Oil Change Association has released its speakers for education sessions it’s hosting at iFLEX, which runs during the Car Wash Show May 8 through May 10, 2023.

The sessions kick off the morning of May 8 at 8:00 AM with the annual membership breakfast meeting. Following that, at 9:15 AM AOCA Policy Advisor Joanna Johnson will discuss “the latest regulatory and legislative news” affecting fast lube and service providers.

Kevin Davis with Oil Changers will then discuss instituting a “cash management plan” for a business at 10:30 AM, as well as the importance of margins and KPIs. Magis Project’s Jason Wilkie is slated to speak at 11:45 AM, a speaker who has strived to “science and art of leadership” and whose presentation will center on workplace culture.

The lineup will continue the next day at 8:00 AM, starting with a panel featuring Justin Ciallela, president & CEO of Victory Lane Quick Oil Change; Dave Everett, president of Dave Everett Consulting; Tom Staker, international director of training and new services for FullSpeed Automotive, Grease Monkey, and SpeeDee; Jacob Krizman of Premier Oil Change; and Kevin Treder of Oil Changers.

Gene Jensen of Chevron is then scheduled to speak at 9:15 AM about “the ins and outs of the lubricants and additives that you put into cars,” touching on topics such as the future of lubricants, sustainability, and trends. Affinity HR Group President Claudia St. John will then speak at 10:30 AM about how to find and retain talent in the industry. Finally, at 11:45 AM Justin Rae of Cinch will discuss the implementation of appointment reminders to encourage customers to return to shops.
