Lordstown Motors Resumes Production

Lordstown Motors Corp has announced that production on its Endurance truck has resumed following a recall that prompted a production halt, Autoblog reports.

Production was initially paused after a recall was issued this past February due to “a specific electrical connection issue that could result in a loss of propulsion while driving.” The company said it had only 31 units available for purchase and recalled 19 vehicles belonging to customers and those used internally.

The Ohio-based manufacturer had predicted in January that “production would slow through its first quarter” as a result of supply-chain shortages, particularly with regard to hub motor components. It has reportedly also made a deal with Amerit Fleet Solutions, who will provide service and maintenance for Lordstown’s fleet customers.
