SpeeDee to Fundraise for Breast Cancer Treatment
SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service will be holding an oil change promotion throughout National Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise money for cancer treatment, according to a press release.
For the entire month of October, SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service locations in the New Orleans metro area will be donating $2 from every oil change to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Having opened its first location in Metairie, Louisiana in 1980, the area holds significance for the SpeeDee brand.
In addition, the SpeeDee Gulf Coast region will be participating in the 2023 Komen New Orleans Race for the Cure with a team of about 10, who will be sporting custom SpeeDee Certified pink uniforms and hats. The brand’s mascot, Mr. SpeeDee, will also be present, along with an inflatable, gift bags, and bounce-back coupons.
“We are expected to raise over $10,000 for the fight in just 30 days,” said SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service’s Vice President of Operations, Scott Accardo. “I’m very excited to be part of this effort and am grateful for the SpeeDee team for coming together to support such an important cause.”
