Florida Shop Offers Free Oil Changes for ‘Toys for Tots’ Donations

An automotive service franchise in Tampa Bay, Florida is helping gather toy and gift donations for Toys for Tots, WFTS Tampa Bay reports.

At all 16 Ice Cold Air locations in Tampa Bay, customers can bring a toy and receive a free oil change, or a discount on any other services done, through Dec. 8. 

Ice Cold Air has held a toy drive each December for the past 18 years, garnering over 40,000 toys for the Toys for Tots program. 

Franchise owner Ashley Butler was the child of a young mother and has personally benefited from the Toys for Tots program. Butler’s partner, Adrian Butler, had a mother who fostered children who received Toys for Tots gifts each year. 

Their experiences make the initiative a personal endeavor for them, and when they first opened Ice Cold Air, they wanted to do their part to contribute. Ashley’s staff reminds one another to remember the best gifts they received as kids to help encourage their teammates to participate in the toy drive too.

“We want to make a difference, and this is one way we can be consistent and support kids having a good time at the end of the year,” said Ashley.
