Jiffy Lube of Indiana’s ‘Growing People Through Work’ initiative has been a launching point for many looking to enter the industry–especially young women.

The program offers a plethora of resources to employees to ensure their well-being and success, reports Current Publishing.

It provides $5,000 loans for managers buying their first homes to use as a down payment, tuition reimbursement and scholarships for the children of employees, seminars training employees in financial literacy and wellness, and the Jiffy Lube Cares Fund, which has distributed over $500,000 in no-interest loans to employees for emergencies.

One example of the program’s success is Monica “Mo” Jewell, general manager of a Jiffy Lube store along U.S. 31 Street near the border of Westfield and Carmel, Indiana.

Since joining Jiffy Lube as a courtesy technician in 2016, Jewell has had several opportunities for growth through the ‘Growing People Through Work’ program, helping her to build on her knowledge and achieve her own professional goals.

She’s far from the only woman finding success with Jiffy Lube. In the past decade, the company has seen a surge in women joining, shared Jiffy Lube Director of Operations Rodney Brown. From technicians to management, the rise in women finding careers in auto maintenance has been great for the company.

“Don’t let anything limit you,” said Jewell. “No matter what the world tells you, if you put your
mind to it then you can do anything you want to do. You don’t have to limit yourself to
anything.”
