Illinois Community College Holding Entry-Level Auto Tech Course

The seven-week course will provide students with the skill set needed to enter Illinois' automotive workforce.

Sauk Community College of Dixon, Illinois, is holding a training course to recruit more technicians into the automotive field, reports Shaw Local News Network.

The seven-week course will run from May 28 through July 10 and was developed in partnership with Whiteside Area Career Center. It will run alongside Sauk Community College’s upcoming four-day industrial maintenance boot camp.

With the goal of providing the skill set needed to enter the industry, students will gain entry-level training in suspension and steering, brakes, exhaust systems, and routine maintenance.
