A recently-opened Express Oil Change in Alabama suffered from a fire over the weekend, reports Valley Times-News.
Firefighters in Valley, Alabama were first called out to the shop at 20th Ave on Friday, around 8:45 p.m. A vehicle that was on a lift in the building’s south bay had caught fire.
Within minutes, the East Alabama Fire District were on the scene, and extinguished the fire from inside. Though fire damage was confined to a small area, the facility suffered heavy smoke damage. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Following the expansion of the Village Square Shopping Center, Express Oil Change was one of the first businesses to be recruited into the space.
Having been in the midst of construction in May, the business was already open by July, seeing a successful launch.
As of now, the brand’s website lists the Valley store as temporarily closed. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
