Wisconsin DNR Launches Enviro-Nav to Aid Small Businesses with Environmental Compliance
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has launched a resource for small businesses to ensure they comply with environmental requirements applying to them, reports Tomahawk Leader.
The Environmental Responsibility Navigator—also called Enviro-Nav—will serve as a single platform for small businesses to understand what environmental regulations impact them, including air pollution, water use/discharge, and waste generation.
Through a series of questions about existing or planned businesses, users will be provided a summary of regulatory requirements, instructional materials, and contact information for individuals who can help them based on their needs.
In addition, DNR has said Enviro-Nav will offer specialized information for certain common business sectors, including auto body repair, gasoline dispensing, grain handling, printing, and wood products.
“Enviro-Nav is a win-win for the environment and Wisconsin's economy," said DNR Secretary Karen Hyun. "Environmental compliance is an essential component of a thriving business, and I encourage any business seeking assistance with environmental requirements to take advantage of this new resource.”
