Freeway Expansion Project Forcing Texas Valvoline Instant Oil Change to Relocate

As part of the US 380 bypass development, McKinney's Valvoline store and several neighboring businesses are closing or relocating.

A Valvoline Instant Oil Change store in McKinney, Texas, will have to relocate due to the upcoming US 380 bypass project, according to Community Impact.

Several businesses in the area are expected to be displaced by the selected alignment for the US 380 bypass. Three other businesses in the shopping center—Jason’s Deli, White Rhino Coffee, and 3Natives—have closed, with Redefined Eyecare and an AT&T Store also relocating.

The Valvoline store at 8720 W. University Drive will be closing in Dec. 2025, and does not yet have a new address for where it will be relocating.
