CARFAX Data: Nearly Half of Drivers Are Behind on Essential Auto Maintenance
Recent data from CARFAX shows that nearly half of drivers are behind on at least one major automotive service, as shared in a press release.
41% of vehicles nationwide are overdue for maintenance work, such as brake line and rotor inspections and replacements; vehicle suspension and steering components inspection; transmission fluid draining and refilling; coolant flush to keep the vehicle operating at a safe temperature; and replacement of engine air and cabin air filters.
Notably, the data showed nearly 20% of cars are behind on oil changes, and almost 30% are behind on tire rotations.
