Honda has announced a recall of Acura vehicles due to a brake defect, reports The Street.

Involved in the recall are a total of 70,658 vehicles, comprised of Acura ILX models manufactured from 2014 to 2020.

The problem lies with a residual plasticizer in the brake reservoir hose, which can cause the master cylinder seal to swell. This can lead to reduced firmness in the brake pedal and increased stopping distances.

Honda discovered the issue through internal investigations and customer feedback. Dealers will inspect and remedy the issues as needed.
