Investigation Underway After Fire at Maryland Jiffy Lube
A fire at a Jiffy Lube in Fairland, Maryland, has led to hundreds of thousands of dollars in building damage, according to a report from The MoCoShow.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services first responded around 2:15 on April 29 to a reported fire at the 3200 block of Automobile Boulevard near Briggs Chaney Road. Crews found flames that extended up through the Jiffy Lube’s roof, but were able to extinguish the fire quickly. No one was injured.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, shared Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS, Pete Piringer—however, Piringer also noted the business did not have a sprinkler system in place.
Following the incident, the building has suffered damage estimated to be roughly $225,000.
