Feb. 5, 2021—Delaware Technical Community College has unveiled a new academic program, a diesel technology associate of applied science degree, the Cape Gazette reported.
The program will provide training to meet industry hiring needs in the areas of quick lube, sales, service advising and automotive and diesel technicians. It was created in response to research and industry requests for qualified auto/diesel technicians.
“There is no other diesel training available nearby, and the demand is tremendous,” Mark E. Swarbrick, Automotive Technology Department Chair, told the publication.
The first group of students started in January.
