Three dealerships in Norwich, New York are teaming up with the local Youth Bureau to host a basics of vehicle maintenance clinic.

June 27, 2022—Several dealerships in a New York community are teaming up to bring vehicle maintenance education to a younger generation.

According to 12 News WBNG, this partnership is spearheaded by the City of Norwich Youth Bureau. An event held on June 28, 2022 called "Get to Know Your Car" will utilize the skill sets of service technicians from McCredy Motors, Bill Rapp Subaru of Norwich, and Matthew’s Ford of Norwich.

“Some of these kids don’t have a parental figure that can show them, I’m probably a good example; I am not a good car person, I have to take my car to the mechanic when I need something done but I do know how to change a tire,” said Youth Bureau Director Anthony Testani in the article.

The event will go over the process of checking oil and fluid levels, replacing broken bulbs, changing flat tires, and locating a vehicle's battery.

Those interested in attending can register through a link on the Youth Bureau's Facebook page or by texting 607-226-0767.
