Jan. 30, 2023

Lucas Oil appoints a new hire and promotes two from within to its leadership team.

Jan. 30, 2023 – Lucas Oil has announced three additions to its leadership team: Jason Bonikowske as general counsel, Nicole York as vice president of finance, and Megan Burakiewicz as vice president of human resources.

York and Burakiewicz are being promoted from previous positions within the company, while Bonikowske has just started his time at Lucas Oil.

Bonikowske previously worked at CSM Sport and Entertainment for 16 years, where he “oversaw the legal operations, developed internal governance policies, advised executives on risk mitigation, and routinely negotiated high- quality sport and entertainment agreements.”

Katie Lucas, chief administrative officer at Lucas Oil, believes Boniowske has “the ideal track record in legal strategy and business operations to help strengthen our executive leadership team and enhance company procedures and initiatives overall.”

York previously served as an Accounting Specialist and was given the Emerging Leader Award from the CPA in 2021. Now as Vice President of Finance, she will advise and supervise the executive team on financial matters.

Burakiewicz has a background in human resources and will be leaving the role of director of people operations to fill the vice president of human resources position.

“Our employees are everything to us, so having an effective and empathetic human resources leader is incredibly important,” Lucas said.
