July 15, 2020—Jiffy Lube International announced a new company president in Edward Hymes, who has held multiple leadership roles within the Shell corporation.
Hymes will oversee the management and growth of the Jiffy Lube franchise, including oversight of more than 2,000 independently owned Jiffy Lube locations, according to a company press release.
Hymes joined Shell in 2001. Prior to that, he worked in e-commerce and retail operations.
“This is a pivotal time for Jiffy Lube, as the brand focusses on digitizing and personalizing the vehicle maintenance experience to best support consumers’ expectations. The evolving category and consumer behaviors demand an entrepreneurial approach to innovation, and I am excited to lead this path forward,” Hymes said in the press release. “As Jiffy Lube is a franchised network, I am also looking forward to working closely with the franchisee community to deliver a one-stop shop of expanded services and quality care that consumers trust.”
Jiffy Lube did not comment on the outgoing president, Patrick Southwick. The LinkedIn account for Southwick says he is now the vice president of downstream acquisitions and divestments at Shell Oil Company. Southwick became Jiffy Lube's president in 2018.
