Top Jiffy Lube Franchisee Sold

Team Car Care, the largest operator and franchisee of the Jiffy Lube brand, was sold by Wynnchurch Capital to Triple JJJ Lube Corp. in a deal announced on Feb. 3. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Based in Irving, Texas, Team Car Care operates 458 Jiffy Lube shops across 23 states.

In a press release announcing the sale, Wynnchurch managing partner John Hatherly noted the transformation of the Team Car Care business from the time it was acquired by Wynnchurch to its current position.

“Team Car Care was a compelling turnaround opportunity,” Hatherly said in a statement. “The company was drastically underperforming the rest of the Jiffy Lube network on most performance metrics prior to our investment. Under Wynnchurch’s ownership, the company was transformed through significant investments in people and systems, expansion of service offering through the rollout of Jiffy Lube Multicare, and implementation of AI tools to drive operational improvement.

“The company’s operational and financial performance have improved significantly, leaving TCC positioned for continued growth.”
