Sept. 16, 2022—The National Institute for Automotive Excellence has announced a new free service technician webinar.
According to a press release, “The Refrigerant Transition Journey” webinar will take place on Sept. 20 at 4:00 p.m. ET. This webinar is free and open to service technicians. Registration information can be found here.
This webinar will feature Mary Koban, the senior director regulatory affairs at the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute. Koban will talk about the R-1234yf refrigerant transition and overall outlook.
The light duty vehicles transition from HFC-134a to R-1234yf began back in 2011. This is due in part to the low global warming potential of R-1234yf. The American Innovation and Manufacturing Act is expected to speed up this transition even more to other automotive sectors. The webinar will discuss aspects of this transition and relay any updates.
