Gill's Point S Purchases Bishop Point S in Oregon

The shop was previously run by the Bishop family for three generations.

June 16, 2022—Bishop Point S in Prineville, Oregon was recently bought by Gill's Point S Tire and Auto Service.

According to Central Oregonian, Bishop Point S was originally founded and operated by the Bishop family for three generations. Fred and Eileen Bishop started the shop in 1956.

Ray Bishop, his wife Regina, son Levi and Regina's brother John Poling continue to operate the shop to this day.

"The Bishop family has been serving Prineville for three generations," said Ray Bishop in the article. "We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of Prineville and Crook County for making Prineville such a good place to live. It is people and friends you make that makes it enjoyable to live here. It was important for us to sell the company to someone that has shared the same traditional values. It has been a pleasure serving our community and watching it grow.

Although the shop was already a Point S, its hands have now changed from Bishop to Gill's. Eric Gill owns around 40 Point S stores in Oregon.

Gill's Point S conducts oil changes, brake services, alignments, wiper blade service, tire services and more.

Under new ownership, the day to day of the Prineville location will not change much. Logistical changes will be made to keep consistency across all Gill's Point S locations.

"We are very unique — we are still a mom-and-pop shop, and we still kept our core values of our employees and our customers, but we are big, that's it." Kenny Harris, store manager, said in the article.

Point S is a group of independent tire dealers with locations that are locally owned and operated across the country.
