March 22, 2022

A board governing Cobb County, Ga., denied a permit to build a lube shop in a retail area.

March 22, 2022—The Cobb County Board of Commissioners denied a request by a real estate developer to add a lube shop to a retail area.

The Cobb County Courier reports that the shop would have been a three-bay building for the area just outside Atlanta. Land use guidelines prohibit light auto repair, but the developer was hoping for a variance.

The story did not give details on what type of service shop was planned. The board denied the application by unanimous vote.
