Community Mourns Loss of Shop Receptionist

A community is recognizing and remembering Betty Woolard, who worked at the local quick lube.

March 2, 2022—The Washington Daily News of North Carolina posted an obituary to highlight the bright presence of Betty Woolard.

Woolard died at 85, the paper reports. She worked as the receptionist at Washington Quick Lube since 1993, and he presence touched every customer who came into the shop. The local sheriff's office was among the fleet accounts, and the office posted remarks on social media.

"Deputies would take their patrol cars to be serviced at Washington Quick Lube," the post said. "Ms. Betty would always greet us with a smile and was a joy to be around."
