A new Take 5 Oil Change will be opening in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Sioux Falls Business reports.
The new business is currently under construction, located on East 10th Street between Taco John’s and Caribou Coffee.
Max Pfeiffer and Kevin Weisbeck are the franchisees of the new location, who are based in Aberdeen and bring a background working in the hospitality industry.
Pfeiffer and Weisbeck opened their first two locations in Rapid City this fall and have estimated Sioux Falls as a market that could support up to three locations of its own.
Oil changes will be offered by the business, along with other services such as tire rotations. The customer should never have to get out of their car, with staff offering bottles of water for drivers, treats for any canine companions, and gummy snacks for any kids on board.
Equipped with two bays, the Take 5 Oil Change will service customers on a first-come, first-serve basis. It’s expected to open sometime between later this year or early next year, with seven or eight technicians, a manager, and an assistant manager being hired as the opening date approaches.
“We’d been looking at different locations in Sioux Falls, and we really liked the traffic downtown, and there’s so much housing and development and growth on the east side,” said Pfeiffer. “Our traffic minimum is 20,000 cars per day, and it checked all the real estate boxes we were looking for.”
