Pennzoil to Participate in Wounded Warrior Project Charity Auction

May 29, 2024
The winner of the current charity auction will be treated to a tour of the largest Shell Technology Center in the world.

Pennzoil is partnering with hypercar manufacturer Hennessey to fundraise for Wounded Warrior Project, according to a press release.

As part of a charity auction that launched on Memorial Day and runs through June 2, whoever makes the highest bid by the end of the auction will win a paid trip to the Hennessey HQ near Houston, Texas.

The winner will be treated to a tour of Hennessey’s modification business and hypercar production facility, in addition to joining company Founder and CEO John Hennessey for lunch before getting to ride a Venom F5 hypercar on the Hennessey test track.

With the Venom F5 being a vehicle that exclusively uses Shell Fuels and Pennzoil lubricating products, the charity auction winner will also tour the Shell Technology Center to see the process behind creating Pennzoil products. The 200-acre facility is Shell’s largest technology hub, and is home to six of its 11 chief scientists.

The entirety of funds raised through the auction will be donated to WWP, which provides free health and career services to injured post-9/11 veterans, their families, and caregivers. Donations may be made through Bring a Trailer’s website.

“Pennzoil is honored to team up with Hennessey and Bring a Trailer for this exciting charity auction supporting Wounded Warrior Project and the brave service members who have sacrificed so much for our country,” stated Vice President of Lubricants Marketing at Pennzoil, Bree Sandlin. “We can't wait to treat the winner to an amazing experience that not only highlights the incredible performance of the Venom F5, but also enables them to get a look at the innovation helping to drive that performance by visiting our Shell Technology Center.”
