Valvoline Locations Launch Community Initiatives

Valvoline Instant Oil Change locations in New England are raising money for cancer research, while shops in Florida are now offering discounts to customers in exchange for donations of school supplies.

Valvoline Instant Oil Change operators in two regions have recently announced initiatives to help their local communities.

In Florida, VIOC kicked off its annual School Supply Drive on Monday. The program, which runs through Aug. 3, helps to connect students in Southwest Florida with needed school supplies. VIOC guests who bring new school supplies to participating shops will receive 20% off their total purchase. Donated items go directly the school districts of Charlotte, Collier, and Lee counties.

VIOC locations in the New England area, meanwhile, are teaming with the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to participate in the A Chance for Kids & Families program. At participating VIOC locations through Aug. 2, customers are invited to donate $1, $5, or $10 toward the program.

To date, the program has raised $380,000 to help fund cancer research and patient care.
