Auto Care Association to Host Webinar on Cybersecurity Risks

The July 31 session will offer practical cybersecurity advice for small organizations, focusing on understanding threats and responding confidently without technical skills.

The Auto Care Association will be holding a webinar on cybersecurity practices for small businesses, as shared in a recent press release.

Titled “Reducing Risk and Enhancing Readiness: Practical Cybersecurity for Every Organization,” the July 31 session will be led by Daniel Eliot, lead for small business engagement within the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Applied Cybersecurity Division.

In his role, Eliot works across NIST's cybersecurity and privacy program to advise and support development of cybersecurity resources, communication materials, and collateral tailored for use by small businesses.

The session will inform individuals and organizations on how to strengthen their cybersecurity practices, with no technical expertise required. Attendees will learn what the most common online threats are and how they impact organizations, and will gain confidence in being able to respond to threats. Eliot will go over what actionable, practical resources and tools are available to help organizations reduce and manage cybersecurity risks without needing to be a tech expert.
