Valvoline Instant Oil Change Building New Kentucky Store

Valvoline Instant Oil Change will be building a new store in Glasgow, Kentucky, reports Glasgow News 1.

The site at 713 Happy Valley Road is a 0.92 acre lot valued at $375,000. Positioned on the corner of N.L. Rogers Wells Boulevard and Happy Valley Road, it was once home to a Long John Silver’s, which suffered a kitchen fire in 2021 and has sat vacant ever since. It was demolished this past February.

Valvoline has filed its site development plans with the planning office in Barren County, but will not have to go before the Joint City-County Planning Commission due to construction taking up less than an acre of land.

“Lot size of disturbed ground under an acre is reviewed in house by staff,” explained Planning Director Kevin Myatt.
