Valvoline Instant Oil Change Plans New Location in Franklin, Ohio

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is looking to launch a new location in Franklin, Ohio, reports WDTN.

This week, the Franklin Planning Commission heard the proposal for the new Valvoline, as well as a new Dutch Bros Coffee store that would be adjacent to the shop.

The proposed businesses would be in the 1200 block of East Second Street, a busy part of town at the southwest corner of East Second Street and Eastlawn Drive. A 1,467-square-foot building would house the Valvoline, accompanied by nine parking spaces.

In September 2025, a Casey’s convenience store and gas station attempted to open a store in the same spot, but the proposal was rejected by the planning commission.

Currently, the nearest Valvoline store is approximately 7.5 miles northeast, in Miami Township. The next closest one would be around 8 miles south, in Middletown on Breiel Road.

“The inclusion of a quick-service restaurant and an oil change facility provides complementary services commonly sought by residents and commuters, enabling customers to address everyday needs efficiently in a single location,” said a plan document.
