Quick Lube Brands Climb the Ranks of Annual Franchise Times Top 400 List

The Franchise Times Top 400 list showcased leading U.S. franchise systems by sales, with quick lube brands like Valvoline, Jiffy Lube, and Grease Monkey climbing the ranks.

Several quick lube brands made it onto this year’s Franchise Times Top 400 list, which was recently released. The annual list ranks the largest U.S. based franchise systems by global systemwide sales, following a five-month research and reporting phase.

Valvoline Instant Oil Change ranked in No. 37, climbing up a few spots from its place at No. 40 last year. It’s followed by Jiffy Lube, which placed No. 48 on the list, and Take 5 Oil Change at spot No. 62.

Grease Monkey and SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service, brands of FullSpeed Automotive, were named on the list for the seventh and fifth consecutive years, respectively. Grease Monkey climbed 11 spots to No. 177 this year, while SpeeDee placed at No. 300.

Strickland Brothers Oil Change trails behind at No. 257 on the list. Notably, Meineke Car Care Centers placed No. 113. Midas also made the list, ranking up at No. 46.

In addition, Franchise Times outlined the top five fastest-growing sectors. The automotive industry rose to third place this year, seeing +7.1% points, coming after personal services (+8.8%) in second and health & medical (+12.7%) in first.
