Midas Franchise Supports Local Public Servant with Vehicle Donation in Richmond, Texas

A Richmond-based Midas franchisee, Jude Crane, and his team refurbished and donated a vehicle to Sean Johns, a dedicated public servant and youth mentor, helping him overcome transportation setbacks and support his family and community.

A Midas franchisee in Richmond, Texas, recently helped refurbish and donate a vehicle to a local public servant in need, as shared recently with NOLN.

Sean Johns is a public servant, youth mentor, and single raising three sons, including twin 17-year-olds pursuing college and career training. Johns has served the Fort Bend County Elections Office since 2008 as an election judge, alternate judge, and election clerk. He holds a Master of Public Administration from Arizona State University and is actively involved in his community through Brave Church and as a youth basketball coach with Missouri City Parks and Recreation.

Despite major transportation setbacks after his family vehicle failed, Johns has remained committed to supporting his children and creating a stronger future for his family with support from the Youth Empowerment Planning Program at Fort Bend Family Promise.

With support from Advance Auto Parts supplying the parts, and a car donation from 1-800-Cars, Midas franchisee owner Jude Crane and his team donated the labor to fix up a Toyota Camry and ensure it is safe and reliable for Johns and his family.

“When we heard Sean’s story, we knew we wanted to help,” said Crane. “His commitment to his family and community is truly inspiring.”
