Sept. 14, 2019—Preparing for Hurricane Dorian, Florida resident Randy Jalil brought a couple valuables inside to the relative safety of his home. Those valuables? His 1988 BMW M3 and a friend's Volkswagen GTI.
The Drive picked up on Jalil's story, in part because he was already known for bringing his BMW inside in 2017 during Hurricane Matthew. His double front doors open just enough to fit the small cars inside to the living room.
"Nothing fancy, just wanted to protect as many cars as possible," Jalil told The Drive.
He reportedly kept his girlfriend's Chevrolet Malibu and a friend's Toyota Corolla in the garage. Luckily, there was no storm damage to his place in Port Saint Lucie, where he lives. But he did get to practice parking in tight spaces.
