July 26, 2021—A former Take 5 Oil Change employee is dead after showing up at his former location in Bradenton, Fla. with a gun.

Manatee County Sheriff's deputies say the incident happened just after 10 a.m. Thursday, according to a report from WFLA News Channel 8. The Sheriff's Office was called about a "disturbance between a former employee and a current employee," and when deputies arrived they found one person dead with a stab wound to the chest.

Authorities confirmed the victim was the former employee, who witnesses say entered the store with a gun before getting into a fight with a current employee.

No arrests have been made, and deputies are still trying to figure out how the fight started.

“We are still interviewing people. We need to figure out exactly what transpired,” Manatee County Sheriff's spokesman Randy Warren said. “What some of the history might have been there between these people, why this person came in there with a gun, what led to them getting into an altercation, a very violent altercation that then ended with somebody being stabbed.”
