Sept. 16, 2021—Solid Start went big with its sponsorship of the No. 53 NASCAR vehicle driven by Garrett Smithley.
At the Aug. 28 Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway, Smithley raced in a pink-wrapped car, sporting logos for Solid Start's Fuel Juels product. The company also donated the hood to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, according to a press release.
“One in eight women will be affected by breast cancer and they say the best chance of survival is early detection,” Amber Kossak, owner of Solid Start, said in the release. “We decided to partner with National Breast Cancer Foundation because they save lives now by helping women who cannot afford a mammogram.”
Support for the National Breast Cancer Foundation has been a priority for the female-owned Solid Start, which started in 1976.
