A Sun Auto Tire & Service customer from the Houston, Texas area was selected as the winner of the company’s car giveaway, according to a recent press release.
Lowell Anderson, a lifelong Texan, has gone to his local Sun Auto location for the past six years to receive tire service and oil changes. While having a routine oil change performed on his vehicle, he entered his name into the company’s Ford Bronco Sport giveaway contest.
Names were collected for six months before the winner was randomly drawn from the nearly 800 entries received, revealing Anderson as the winner of the “Hot Pepper Red” 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The new vehicle was presented to him and his wife during a celebratory event, with staff and customers gathering to watch as Sun Auto’s Houston market leader, Steve Powell, handed him the keys.
The company currently operates 20 locations in the Greater Houston area. Five of those stores were opened in just the past year, with plans for further expansion in the region. The giveaway event was created in part for Sun Auto to give back to the Houston community that it looks to grow in.
“This Bronco Sport giveaway is just one way we are taking care of customers and giving back,” said Powell. “Not only are we committed to providing the best tire and auto service experience in the city, but we also want to be an integral part of the neighborhoods and communities we serve.”
The family of Sun Auto Tire & Service brands has 91 stores in Texas alone, with 435 locations total in 22 states.
