A new Valvoline Instant Oil Change is under consideration in Chelsea, Alabama, reports 280 Living.

The Chelsea Planning Commission had a meeting to consider the plans yesterday, June 22. The store would be located at 175 Shelby County 39, at the intersection of U.S. 280 and Shelby
County 39.

Sitting on .67 acres, the facility would measure 1,452 square feet, with 12 outdoor parking spaces. As noted by City Engineer Keith Hager in written remarks to the Planning Commission, the site would comply with the property’s current B-2 business district zoning.

Additionally, the developer would want to add an access road to the back of the property, off Shelby County 39, as well as an access easement on the west side for future development and direct access to U.S. 280.
